|
El autor describe la estructura numerológica
de uno de los poemas mexicanos más importantes para la
literatura universal: Muerte sin fin. Después
de analizar el contexto histórico-social que dio origen
a la producción del texto y de ubicar el poema en una
tradición hispánica con aspiraciones universalistas,
tanto temáticas como formales, en una tradición
que, pese al nacionalismo posrevolucionario, se resistió
al colorido local y cuya filiación se remonta hasta la
Edad Media europea, Alberto Pérez-Amador encuentra una
tradición filosófica mucho más profunda
en las metáforas bíblicas y en los dos hilos conductores
del poema: la inteligencia divina y la inteligencia humana.
Cada una de las partes en que el poema se encuentra dividido
es explicada en sí misma y en el conjunto que forman,
para revelar las limitaciones impuestas por el lenguaje humano
para conocer y explicar el mundo. |

The author describes the numerological
structure of one of the Mexican poems making the most important
contribution to universal literature: Muerte sin fin
(Unending Death). After analyzing the historical-social context
giving rise to the production of this text and situating the
poem within a Hispanic tradition with thematic and formal
universalistic aspirations, a tradition that, despite post-revolutionary
nationalism, resisted local coloring dating from medieval
Europe, Alberto Pérez-Amador uncovers a far more profound
philosophical tradition in the biblical metaphors and twin
guiding lines of the poem: divine and human intelligence.
Each of the poem’s parts are jointly and separately
explained to reveal the limitations imposed by human language
when striving to comprehend and explain the world. |
