Abstract
This article strives to show the genesis of the movie filmed in Mexico by Soviet director Serguei Eisenstein between 1930 and 1932, yet never actually concluded. It is based on illustrated German magazines that published articles on Mexico, together with information provided by Eisenstein’s relatives and the director’s own archives.Downloads
